Mr. Wayne Myers,
Indiana ASA State Commissioner

Indiana ASA
Hall of Fame

PURPOSE  In 1978 the Indiana ASA Hall of Fame was established to honor those men and women who have played a major role in the growth and development of the Hoosier brand of softball.  It is one of the greatest softball programs in the nation.

ELIGIBILITY - PLAYERS/UMPIRES  To be selected to the Indiana ASA Hall of Fame a player or umpire must have been an active  player or umpire in ASA whose active playing or umpiring days have been terminated for a minimum of three(3) years.  The player or umpire must also have attained a state-wide level of fame.

ELIGIBILITY - SPONSORS/MANAGERS  To be selected to the Indiana ASA Hall of Fame from this category, the sponsor or manager must have attained a state-wide level of fame.

ELIGIBILITY - MERITORIOUS SERVICE  To be selected to the Indiana ASA Hall of Fame from this category, the person must have performed service for the good of the Indiana ASA above the normal range of service.  This service should have been performed over a considerable length of time and have wide-reaching benefits to the teams and players in Indiana ASA.

ELIGIBILITY - COMMISSIONERS  To be selected to the Indiana ASA Hall of Fame from this category, the Commissioner must have performed service for the good of Indiana ASA. This service shall have been performed over a minimum of ten (10) years.

Anyone previously named to the National ASA Hall of Fame/Hall of Honor automatically qualifies for the Indiana ASA Hall of Fame.

The Indiana ASA Hall of Fame inductees are selected by the Indiana ASA Hall of Fame Committee.  It is recommended that managers, players, and umpires maintain records of their performance in order to qualify them for consideration at a latter date.

Any Indiana ASA official (District Commissioners, umpire, etc.) has the authority to nominate individuals for consideration by the Hall of Fame Committee.  Official nomination forms are available from the State Commissioner and must be submitted to the Chair of the Hall of Fame Committee by December 31st to be considered for that year's Hall of Fame Banquet.
